Creating a Warm and Artistic Home in the Heart of the City

The uniqueness of Urban Peach Garden lies in its thoughtful design and attention to detail. The first floor is carefully shaped to accommodate different living scenes and moving lines. The porch opens up to a central courtyard, where the shadow of pine trees creates a natural and serene atmosphere. Inside, a sunken living room and a dining area are strategically placed next to the courtyard, allowing for a spacious and bright ambiance.

One of the standout features of this design is the basement, which boasts three atriums and is dedicated to leisure and sports. Natural light floods the space, creating a welcoming environment for relaxation and physical activities. The combination of stone, wood finishes, paintings, carpets, and a pool adds a touch of luxury and sophistication to the overall design.

Urban Peach Garden is not only visually stunning but also incorporates innovative technology. The integration of a smart system and virtual reality enhances the functionality and convenience of the villa, providing a seamless and modern living experience.

Spanning an impressive 1800 square meters, this design showcases the warmth of home and the allure of an urban shangri-la. Its artistic and quiet atmosphere offers a sanctuary from the bustling city, while its luxurious elements elevate the overall living experience.

Qifeng Zhang's design process for Urban Peach Garden involved meticulous planning and collaboration with the homeowner. The initial step was to create a detailed space design scheme, taking into account the client's lifestyle and preferences. Once the overall design scheme was confirmed, construction drawings were produced, and the list of building materials and furniture was finalized. Zhang's involvement extended to supervising the construction process until completion, ensuring that the design vision was fully realized.

Located in the Bojingting community in Ningbo city, China, the Urban Peach Garden project took place from November 2018 to January 2020. Throughout the design process, Zhang conducted extensive research on the concept of creating experiences rather than just spaces or settings. This approach aligns with the belief that a quality life is not solely based on physical comfort but also on mental enjoyment.

Designing Urban Peach Garden presented its own set of challenges. Zhang had to strike a balance between two seemingly opposing design concepts. On one hand, the design aimed for simplicity, rationality, and grandeur. On the other hand, it sought to create a space that was intimately connected to everyday life, with every detail reflecting real-life experiences. The result is a harmonious blend of these two extremes, where residents can find solace in the beauty of their surroundings while enjoying the comforts of home.

By considering the homeowner's lifestyle, incorporating texture and color, and paying attention to lighting and temperature, Zhang has created a space that fosters family harmony and provides a beautiful living experience.
